Spire Nursery School

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

- Proverbs 22:6

Welcome to Spire Nursery School LLC.

Spire Nursery School started in the late 1970's at the Troy Presbyterian Church. For over forty years, Spire has taught children ages 3 to 5 the necessary skills they need to help them prepare for Kindergarten. Our focus at Spire is to offer pre-school children a safe, loving environment that teaches readiness skills and social skills giving children the confidence they need to separate from family and thrive in a school setting. We also focus on telling the children how much God loves them and include several Bible stories in our curriculum. In October 2010, Spire was able to move to Fellowship Bible Church.

Classroom Structure:

Spire Nursery School currently offers three classrooms. Each room has a qualified teacher and a classroom aide. The class size is usually under 15 students. We work hard to prepare an educated lesson plan with projects for each school day (please refer to our newsletter for our current lesson plan). Our teachers meet once a month to organize a schedule focusing on Kindergarten readiness skills. Depending on age and abilities, teachers may add projects or simplify projects within their classrooms. Each month we incorporate a Bible story, color, number, baking day, and shape. Each week we focus on one alphabet letter. We send home daily projects that can be reinforced at home to further the children's learning experience. We also do crafts to celebrate monthly holidays and invite parents to our holiday programs.
